BELVIDERE, NJ [May 14, 2005] About 90 veterans were present or represented by relatives, while 167 veterans, living or deceased, are being honored . The Warren County Distinguished Military Service medal, a matching lapel pin and a certificate were presented by Freeholder Director Richard D. Gardner, Freeholder Deputy Director John DiMaio and Freeholder Everett A. Chamberlain, and those items will be sent to veterans or their families who were unable to attend the ceremony.

The flag salute to start the third Warren County Veterans Recognition Ceremony at the Warren County War Memorial in Belvidere is led by Boy Scouts from Troop 416, Independence Twp., (l-r) Kevin DaSilva, Nicky Horbelt and Scott Chamberlin, and a military escort, John Hawk, a veteran of Vietnam and Afghanistan, Jack Trimmer, a Korean War veteran, and Andrew Drysdale, portraying a World War I “Doughboy.”
