Warren County Freeholder Richard D. Gardner was sworn in as the 71st president of the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC), becoming the first Warren County official since the group was founded in 1921 to head the organization.
Warren County Buys Buildings to Relocate Library and Human Services
The headquarters of the Warren County Library system and some Department of Human Services offices will move in about a year under a plan advanced by the Board of Chosen Freeholders with the purchase of a new location, two existing buildings on 12 acres next to the County’s complex on Route 519 in White Township.

Chamberlain Honored For 32 Years of Dedicated Service to Agriculture
Warren County Freeholder Director Everett A. Chamberlain was publicly recognized by his freeholder board colleagues for a distinguished career in agriculture spanning more than three decades of dedicated service to Rutgers – the State University of New Jersey, and to the County of Warren. Having recently retired as Agricultural Agent of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Warren County, Chamberlain was taken by surprise when Freeholder Deputy Director Richard D. Gardner interjected during the October 26 meeting to present the proclamation on behalf of himself and fellow Freeholder Jason J. Sarnoski.
Phillipsburg Restaurant Presented “Thomas M. Kennedy Excellence in Accessibility Award” as Warren County Marks Disability Awareness Month.
The Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders declared October to be “Disability Awareness Month” as they recognized a Phillipsburg restaurant for its efforts to be accessible to all. La Bella Via, an Italian restaurant at Third and Broad streets, received the 2011 Thomas M. Kennedy Excellence in Accessibility Award. The award is named for Kennedy, a relentless advocate for people with disabilities, who died in 2008.
