The Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission is pleased to announce the winners of the 14th Annual Skylands Scenic Beauty Photo Contest. Entries were received from photographers throughout the area’s northwest region, and are on display currently in the hallway gallery of the county’s Wayne Dumont Jr. Administration Building. More than $1,800 was awarded in cash prizes.
The Best of Show winner for this year’s contest was Don Myles from Belvidere, who won Second Place in 2008.
Winners in the Professional category include: Kathleen Rupff from Blairstown with First Place, Julia Rose-Dick of Baptistown with Second Place, R. Gordon Perry of Saylorsburg, PA with Third Place and Honorable Mention won by Jean Perry of Saylorsburg, PA. Other professional participants include: Cathy Conroy, Pat Mannon, Therese Pearman, and Carol Sutherland.
Winners in the Amateur category include: Patty Wright-Farrini from Washington in First Place, Joan F. White from Oxford in Second Place, Len Carducci of Hackettstown with the Third Place Ribbon, and the Honorable Mention award to Francis Cheh of Fords. Other Amateur contestants include: Jennifer Cagnassola, Kathryn Cavitch, Mary J. Finken, Rosaline Fuller, Michelle Gardner, Joe Heydel, LaVonne Heydel, Bill Hoffmann, Josephine LaBar, Kathleen Lamb, Ronald Lommatzsch, Barbara Polhemus, Sandra Poyer, Matthew Reid, Cheryl Semonchick, Linda Spaet, Bonnie Stanislaw, John Stockton, Karen Stull, Joshua Stull, Cindy Topoleski, Elizabeth Turcic, Michelle Warburton, Erin Washburn and Marina Zindel. |

Winners in the Student category include: Kellie Rodriguez in First Place, Peter Liolia in Second Place, Hannah Naugle, in Third Place and Jessica Reid winning Honorable Mention.
This year’s contest was solely sponsored and coordinated by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission. The judges for the contest were Patt Abbott, Best of Show Winner from 2008, and Jim Rimi of “Rimi Studios” in Washington. All participants are to be commended for the quality of their photographic entries.
This program is made possible by the Warren County Freeholders and is funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. The Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission prepared and presented the show as a public service.
The hallway gallery in the Wayne Dumont, Jr. Administration Building is open during business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:40 p.m., Monday through Friday. The building is located at 165 County Route 519 South, Belvidere (White Township), NJ.
