Five World War II veterans who live at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown were honored there by the Warren County Freeholders as part of the county’s ongoing Veterans Recognition Program.

Freeholders Everett A. Chamberlain and Angelo Accetturo, along with Warren County War Memorial Corp. President Dennis Smith, visited the retirement residence to present the county’s Distinguished Military Service medal to the veterans, who were unable to attend the May 30, 2009 ceremony held in Belvidere.
