Recommendations and strategies for transportation improvements in Warren County’s Route 22 Corridor will be presented at an open public meeting on Monday, June 22.
The meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Pohatcong Municipal Building, 50 Municipal Drive, Phillipsburg (Pohatcong Township).
The recommendations are the culmination of a study that began in October 2008 and included public meetings and surveys. The June 22 session is the final meeting of the study process, where a full range of recommended strategies and transportation improvements – short-term, mid-term and long-term – will be presented as options to alleviate traffic problems on the Route 22 Corridor. These options include a series of roadway improvements, transit enhancements, travel demand and travel management strategies, and bicycle and pedestrian improvements.
Further information is available by contacting the Warren County Planning Department at 908-475-6532 or by visiting the study website at www.maserconsulting.com/route22/route22.html.
